The Wastewater Maintenance Technician Professional Development Series empowers technicians at every stage of their careers to expand their knowledge, strengthen practical skills, and build confidence in today’s evolving wastewater maintenance profession. Through interactive, real-world learning, participants gain tools and insights they can immediately apply to improve performance and support effective facility operations.

Focused on professional growth and technical excellence, this program goes beyond exam preparation to support long-term success in the wastewater industry. While course content aligns with many competencies outlined in the CWEA Mechanical Technologist Grades 1–2 framework, the series is designed to develop well-rounded professionals and strengthen day-to-day technical capability. Participants planning to pursue CWEA certification may also find the material a valuable supplemental resource.

Meet the Trainer

Roy Reynolds is a retired Maintenance Superintendent with over 32 years of experience in the wastewater industry, 27 of which were in plant maintenance and 5 years in collection system maintenance. Mr. Reynolds holds a CWEA Mechanical Technologist Grade 4 certification and is an active CWEA member. A former Navy Seabee, he holds an AA degree in business management and a certification in TMP and Pump Maintenance.
