This course of study covers the operational tasks that water operators must master in order to manage a public water system. They cover rules and regulations for drinking water systems, the various operational skills and activities that must be completed to be in compliance of the Safe Drinking Act.
These courses also consist of drinking water sources, cross-connection control program, drinking water disinfection and pumping and delivery of water to the public. This series of courses can be used for career enhancement, operator certification, and professional development.
John Rowe is a Class A Water Operator, Distribution Operator, and Wastewater Operator. He has earned a PhD in Biological Sciences, Physiology & Water Resources Management. He has taught college course in Georgia, Florida and California and has recently retired from Office of Water Programs at Sacramento State University. In the past, he was a project manager over water and wastewater treatment for CH2M HILL, and he served on the editorial board for several scientific publications concerning water pollution and water and wastewater treatment. He recently served on the committee that develop the curriculum and certification examination for Advanced Water Treatment in California and Nevada.
